Our Statement of Faith

We are a sincerely imperfect people anchored to a perfect God. These are the convictions that ground everything we do.

As a parish of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, our doctrine is rooted in the authority of Scripture and the historic Christian faith.

Core Doctrine

📖

The Bible

The 66 books of the Old and New Testament are divinely inspired — eternal, authoritative, and our only infallible rule of faith and life.

2 Tim 3:16–17 2 Pet 1:20–21
🌌

God the Creator

One God, eternal and self-existent, is the Creator of all things visible and invisible. All life flows from Him alone.

Gen 1:1 Isa 43:10–11 John 1:1–3
🔱

The Trinity

One triune God exists in three co-equal, co-eternal Persons — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit — identical in nature, power, and glory.

Matt 3:16–17 2 Cor 13:14 1 John 5:7
👑

Jesus Christ

Jesus is fully God and fully man — born of a virgin, sinless, crucified for our sins, bodily resurrected, and ascended to heaven. He will return as King of Kings.

John 1:1–14 Heb 4:14–15 Acts 2:32–33
🔥

The Holy Spirit

The third Person of the Trinity, equal in power and glory with the Father and Son. He regenerates, sanctifies, teaches, and empowers believers with spiritual gifts.

John 14:16–17 Acts 1:8 1 Cor 12:7
🕊️

Salvation & Growth

🍂

The Fall of Man

Created in God's image, humanity fell through Adam's disobedience. All people are born sinners by nature, unable to please God apart from His grace.

Gen 1:26–27 Ps 51:5 Rom 3:23
🕊️

Salvation

Salvation is found in Christ alone. It requires acknowledging sin, repenting, believing Christ died and rose again, and confessing Him as Lord.

Rom 10:9–13 Acts 3:19 Rom 3:10, 23

Sanctification

Through total surrender to the Holy Spirit, believers are set apart from sin and consecrated to God — progressively conformed to the image of Christ.

Heb 10:10–14 2 Thess 2:13 1 Pet 1:15
💨

Baptism of the Holy Spirit

A supernatural empowerment for witness and service, with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues — a prayer language enabling Spirit-to-spirit communion with God.

Joel 2:28 Acts 2:38–39 Mark 16:17
🙌

Divine Healing

Christ bore our sicknesses on the cross. Healing comes through faith in His finished work, prayer, laying on of hands, and anointing with oil.

James 5:14–15 Mark 16:17–18 1 John 3:8

Last Things

☁️

The Rapture

Christ will return to instantly transform and gather all believers — living and dead — into immortality, to meet Him in the air.

1 Thess 4:13–18 1 Cor 15:51–58 1 John 3:1–3

The Great Tribulation

A seven-year period of judgment following the Rapture, during which God deals with a Christ-rejecting world and Israel is ultimately reconciled to Him.

Dan 9:24–27 Rev 3:10 1 Thess 1:10
🕊️

The Millennial Reign

After defeating His enemies at His return, Christ will reign on earth for one thousand years in peace, holiness, and justice.

Isa 11:1–10 Zech 14:16–17 Rev 20:1–6
⚖️

Judgment Seat of Christ

Believers will stand before Christ — not for condemnation, but to receive rewards according to their faithfulness and stewardship.

Rom 14:10 2 Cor 5:10 1 Pet 4:17
🌅

Eternal Heaven

After the final judgment, God creates a new heaven and new earth — the glorious, eternal home of all who have received Christ.

Rev 21:1–5 John 14:1–3 2 Pet 3:10
🌑

Eternal Hell

Those who reject Jesus as Lord and Savior will spend eternity separated from God — a place of judgment prepared for Satan and his angels.

Rev 20:10, 15 Luke 16:19–31 Matt 25:41
💧

Church Ordinances

💧

Water Baptism

An outward declaration of inward transformation — believers identify with Christ's death and resurrection, publicly declaring their new life in Him.

Matt 28:19–20 Acts 2:38–41 Rom 6:4
🍞

The Lord's Supper

The bread and cup are sacred memorials of Christ's body and blood — a proclamation of His death until He comes again.

Luke 22:14–19 1 Cor 11:26 2 Pet 1:4
🤝

Restitution

Where possible, believers make right past wrongs — returning what was taken, repaying debts, and confessing falsehoods — as an act of integrity and a restored conscience.

Luke 19:8–10 Acts 24:16
